We could use your help at this critical stage leading into the state election.

2. A request. If you have any photos of activities: concerts or events, on the old plaza – on the upper part that had the Hajek sculptures, please send them in to our email Savefestivalplaza@gmail.com
We’d like to use them to remind government that the plaza was a much-loved space at one time, one that simply needed a lot of love and care, and thought, to become a very buzzy part of the city’s life.
3. Senator Barbara Pocock will again be attempting to question Senator Murray Watt in Senate Estimates re his refusal to call in the Walker Tower 2 project for its potential impacts on our National Heritage listed Parliament House, and City Plan and Park Lands.
4. Watch out for a combined rally with the Parklands Association and other groups on February 22nd. More to come.
5. And remember our win-win “Festival Plaza +” proposal, one of many such possible solutions which would develop the Plaza as a low-rise open cultural space and trade the proposed activity there for needed development around Victoria Square, with the rectangular hole in the plaza used for a cultural use building such as a gallery or concert hall.
