STOP THE ABUSE OF AUTHORITY BY LOUISVILLE PROBATION & PAROLE/SUPERVISE ALL OFFICERS AND PERSON(S) OF POWER FOR THE PROTECTION OF OUR FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS THAT ARE BRANDED AS "FELONS"!

Personal experience, as well as, witnessed experience. Facts, information on past issues with Louisville probation/parole. We made mistakes, we are felons

Picture yourself on a Sunday afternoon, fresh spring air, bright sun shining down on you. How in the world could ANYTHING be gloomy on a day such as this one? Well.... mental warfare has taken over your entire being. Emotional distress due to being completely out of control with yourself and everyone/everything around you. Spiritually, you know you have fallen down that hole with no sight out of there. Then physically, you look down at your arms and notice bleeding because you accidentally scratched the wound that was still healing on your arm. It's a lot of wounds though accompanied by some butterfly stitching so those wounds won't bleed and can heal. You suddenly remember.... those wounds are a reminder of the pain and shame that you inflicted on yourself, the scars that you imprinted on their hearts, the ones you love most. You made a decision that NOT only changed YOU for the duration of some years, but it also left it's ugly scarring on the ones closest to you. Everything changed within a blink of an eye. Freedom is on the line. Concrete floors that are so cold that your body is stuck in one position. White and gray walls with no windows- is it day or night? The door to what appears to be a way out of solitary confinement, but locked down with no visible gaps. Faulty lights, toilet in the middle of the floor, mats with little to no stuffing on a flat, cold, concrete floor. A television that is maybe 15 inches and some ripped up books that are barely even readable. Welcome to the Detox/drunk tank of Nelson County Correctional Center! Food allergies? No accommodations. Diabetic? No medication, no blood sugar checks, and absolutely no late night snack. The inevitable question of, "Am I going to get out of here to see my fiance, my children, and my grandparents?" Little did you know, you still have over 15 days until you go before a judge and a $10K full cash bond is you're only way out  RIGHT NOW. Well... that is not happening. Hope feels non-existent. The what if's and why's are weighing your heavy mind down to the point of that migraine that has been lingering for 2 days has intensified to something completely out of realm of manageable. It's grim, it's lonely, it's terrifying, it's so many things that won't even fit on this one page. Mainly though, the self destructive path that has landed you in this place that we call jail- BUT it is everything but HUMANE. 31 days later... You're free. You made it. You WILL do better. You ARE better. Thank the Lord above for this opportunity. Then... you call your Probation officer to tell him you have been released out of that heinous hole as instructed. He doesn't call you back right away, but when he does, you suddenly remember everything. Freedom and life as a collective as YOU know it, is in the hands of the Probation Officer that testified for you to spend 5+ years in jail because you blessed this world with bi-racial daughters and a Fiance that we will say "I do" to in the upcoming future.

Freedom, sense of security, a mental state that is manageable yet, healthy. An emotional understanding with yourself that took more unnerving hours to reach that manageable place. The family that gave you as much hope as they could all while their hope was completely gone. Your house, the place where the one's who mean the most to you is facing an eviction and also had a tragic death in the family that changed everyone. Every single thing you know is dying, has died, or is enroute to death. No electricity. No water. The life you had is fading away into distant memories and your physical being is being tested due to the negligence of your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

WHY IS MY PROBATION OFFICER SENDING ME BACK TO JAIL EVERY TIME I WALK IN THERE? Oh... I'm sure plenty of probationers have stated this and asked this, right? Well, just like the rest of society, we are not criminally the same! The predictability of being judged and frowned upon by society is one thing, but by the facility AND probation officer? Absolutely unreasonable. Transparency doesn't exist, he will shout over me whether that's on the phone or in person. He freely insults me like I am less of a human being and even worse, he even feels compelled to blame my children and their father because of their skin tone! He goes straight to his superior, either in house or regional, and put a complaint on me. This is the model citizen that I am supposed to reflect off of! This is the doings of OFFICER WILLIAM LACY.

Every single inmate I encountered for those 31 days, 3 separate jails, and walking around the 4x6 cell block with 15+ other inmates- also everybody on top of each other. I CANNOT STRESS IT ENOUGH, YOU MATTER! It most certainly becomes an emergency situation when you can barely muster up the words to even admit that you're worth living.

This is a depiction of a REAL EXPERIENCE, authenticated by the person who EXPERIENCED IT all while WITNESSING others dealing with the same cold, dark, feelings. Lives are at the mercy of God/Prayer, acceptance of ones self-love is, and left, the inkling of what I cherish and adore, FAMILY.

Mental health awareness/emotional health awareness/Spiritual health awareness. How can YOU work on any of that without having it yourself? How can human beings with the dreaded criminal label, "FELON" have a FAIR, SUSTAINABLE chance at life again? Probation and Parole officers are VITAL to completing Kentucky's Probation and Parole program SUCCESSFULLY- to regain that confidence and comfortability to be integrated as functioning members of society. With that being said, this will NEVER be possible due to the lack of compassion, understanding, and heart with at least one probation officer, WILLIAM LACY. Not only (especially while working on all sections of health), does he lack compassion and understanding, but he lacks having an open mind and rarely does he acknowledge the impact/toll that it's taking on his Parolees/Probationers. Witnessing more than 7 people in the lobby area of the office, the other probationers also stated his lack of compassion, lack of wisdom, and monotone demeanor that he projects onto all of his clients.

WE MADE A MISTAKE AND DESERVE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR A SECOND CHANCE! HENCE, BEING GRANTED FELONY PROBATION FOR REHABILITATION. We do NOT have the chance to do this when SUPERVISORS AND PAROLE/PROBATION OFFICERS DON'T FULFILL THEIR DUTIES WHEN THEY ACCEPTED THIS ROLE. As a current Felon that is dealing with this dreadful situation, I have not had a chance to even make it through the probation program. US FELONS NEED OUR COMMUNITY HERE TO COME TOGETHER AND SIGN/SHARE SIGN/SHARE SIGN/SHARE! WE DESERVE OUR CHANCE TO BE APART OF A NORMAL LIFE AGAIN JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. PLEASE HEAR US/PLEASE SEE US/PLEASE UNDERSTAND US,. STOP ABUSING YOUR AUTHORTY LOUISVILLE PROBATION AND PAROLE. INVESTIGATE OFFICER WILLIAM LACY WITH PROBATION AND PAROLE. GIVE US FELONS, A FIGHTING CHANCE TO SHOW YOU THAT WE CAN DO THIS!
