Can you wonderful supporters give us a hand once again? Can you share this petition to at least 5 other people to get us over 700 supporters? Can you also share my crowd fund raising page as widely as possible ... https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/stop-690-buses-daily-pn-4-residential-streets/

My legal team advised that the TTO that removed the longstanding 7.5T weight restriction on our narrow residential streets, Upper North Street and Montpelier Terrace was unlawful. This is allowing 690 buses daily to be diverted along these streets, and Montpelier Road and Regent Hill for 2 years.

I had a reply from the Council to my letter before action last week, that my solicitor described as "a victory of sorts". They are clearly considering their position and we have given them until today to withdraw the TTO, restore the 7.5T weight limit to Montpelier Terrace and Upper North Street, and thus stop the rerouting of buses. If they don't concede or make satisfactory alternative proposals, I am fully prepared to issue proceedings for judicial review, and this can be done quite speedily.

I shall continue to pursue this legal route with determination and vigour because these buses continue to brutalise our community with dangerous driving, congestion, noise, light and air pollution, and vibration. Our counts indicate that about 600 residents live on these streets and are directly exposed to these risks. Many more live close by in the side streets. Follow our Facebook page to see the horrendous impact of 690 buses daily on our health, wellbeing and safety ... https://www.facebook.com/WRRAG  This redirection was imposed on us with no consultation for a 'look and feel' project as described by the chair of Brighton and Hove City Council's Environment, Transport and Sustainability Committee. If they can impose this on residents, with no consultation, is there any 'Environment' or 'Sustainability' on the agenda of Brighton and Hove City Council or their committee?
