Given the ongoing discussions regarding the science and health issues around the rollout of 5G infrastructure, we call on the Tunbridge Wells Council to stop the installation of the proposed 5G tower on the St Johns Road.

There are several schools and nurseries in the immediate vicinity, Skinners, TWGGS, TWGSB, St Gregory’s Catholic School, St Johns Primary School, St Luke’s Primary School, St Augustine’s RC Primary School, Monkey Puzzle Nursery, Bright Horizon’s Nursery School, St George’s Nursery School to name but a few. This will affect thousands of young children.

Children congregate in large numbers in the area directly under the proposed site of the tower with school bus stops being located here.

St Johns is a densely populated residential area and we believe that there are more suitable sites for the placement of this technology. This adopts the precautionary principle and mitigates any future risk of harm should emerging research highlight any potential harmful effects.

Government agencies and mobile communications companies are telling us this is safe technology but there is emerging scientific research to suggest otherwise. If you care about the future safety of your children please sign this petition.
