StockX should take down their website until they no longer have delays.
The Issue
StockX should shutdown their website until they can catch-up on receiving, authenticating, shipping and paying out. They claim COVID is causing delays of 7-10 days, but many buyers are waiting 4+ weeks for shoes they have purchased, and many sellers are waiting at least 3 to 4+ weeks for payout.
It is unknown if the problem only relates to shoes, or if it includes all items bought and sold on StockX (clothes, purses, sports cards, etc). Yes, StockX has an Early Payout program, but probably less than 5% of sellers are eligible. Many people during this difficult time are depending on these funds if they sell items on StockX.
Customer service does not respond to cases that are open. Their Twitter account replies with default answers to contact support. Support never responds, or takes over a week to reply. StockX sends an automated email every week saying they are experiencing COVID delays, yet they continue to promote their marketplace, most often gloating on how much business they are doing and how much product they are selling.
Many articles have been published, and Executives interviewed about their booming growth during the pandemic due to online shopping, specifically during the 2nd quarter. Yet StockX has laid off employees at each of their sites, and at Corporate, plus they have introduced processing fees for buyers, all in the face of "delays due to COVID."
We need StockX to shutdown it's website so they can catch up on orders and processing. Buyers want their items. Sellers want their payouts. Both of them pay StockX processing and authentication fees, yet those funds are clearly not being used to hire more employees so they can catch up. The StockX marketplace has already lost the trust of many people due to massive account hacks, and now it's losing more trust with the remaining user-base because of their delays.
