Save St Mary's University College

Save St Mary's University College
The Issue
As you may already be aware, the College is on the verge of losing over 30% of its funding compared to the 10.8% being cut from our academic counterparts. In a recent letter to the College, the Minister for Employment and Learning Stephen Farry, outlined these vicious cuts, which up to now, are due to be implemented. If this was to happen, St Mary’s University College Belfast would no longer be viable and St Mary’s would be forced to close their doors in the near future.
With support from our local MP, Paul Maskey, local elected representatives, Sinn Féin Republican Youth, NUS-USI, INTO, local community organisations and the student body as a whole, we will continue to resist the extent of the cuts and demand that we be treated fairly in relation to our academic counterparts.
