The Governor of Massachusetts, Charlie Baker is demonstrating that he is not using science and widely available health data information to re-open Massachusetts.

The very young and the healthy are at almost no risk of serious illness from SARS-CoV-2.  So why are gyms and ice rinks in phase 3? Liquor stores have been open.  Nail salons and day spas are in phase 2!  Ice rinks are all small businesses and many of the rink owners make all their revenue from camps and ice rentals.

I ask Governor Baker to include Ice Rinks in Phase 1.  Those of us who would go to an ice rink or a gym or fitness center for exercise, and those going to coach or to teach are all, young and healthy.  Again, anyone at risk should remain careful and cautious and avoid these facilities as they should any other potentially crowded business or gathering.
