Stellenbosch University does not provide the option of online examinations to students. We are in a pandemic and Stellenbosch University thinks it’s best to shut down study areas, computer user areas, sport gatherings but does not want to provide online exams instead of in person. There is an increasing number of Covid-19 Cases and students do not feel safe to come on to campus. 
Students will lie about their symptoms that they might have and come to campus and write their exam, because they do not want to miss an exam opportunity and possibly end up failing. This causes an increase in spread due to students putting others at risk, in order to not miss an exam. 
Additionally, those students who do feel symptoms and choose not to write the exam, end up only having two exam opportunities to pass the module. 
Stellenbosch University is not thinking about their students. Help put an end to this. Health and safety of the students should come first.
