Currently the reservoir has been drained in hopes Loudoun Water (LW) will hold to their word on speedier dam improvements and work towards a signed deal to reopen the reservoir with Northern Virginia Regional Park. No time frame has been set and although they gave us the verbal thumbs up indicating they want to reopen the reservoir to the public, we can only wait and see. Loudoun Paddlers experience upon reaching out to Chairman York for help in the Beaverdam Reservoir issue was a complete failure, as he gave "0" assistance when Loudoun Paddlers reached out to him to assist in regaining access to the reservoir or aiding in the talks with LW. We know how LW treated the friendly users of Beaverdam Reservoir with their abrupt closure and resistance to fair access. The relationship between LW and Chairman York appear suspect in the eyes of the Loudoun County residents/voters. Currently the Red Hill area of Loudoun County is currently experiencing the lack of transparency with LW and the politics of Chairman Scott York in the approval and building of 2 189' water towers. Please go to www.noredhillwatertowers.org to get the full story. Below is the Request for Reconsideration of building the towers. Your participation strengthens both causes and demands our county leadership represent us and not a Loudoun Water. REQUEST FOR RECONSIDERATION VOTE Today we are launching an email campaign to FLOOD Chairman York and the Supervisors with emails requesting a Reconsideration of the Board of Supervisor's November 5th Vote to approve a monster 189' water tower next to the Rural Area on Red Hill Road. How to help: 1 - PLEASE send emails to Chairman York and COPY the Supervisors. (Email addresses for all Supervisors are provided below) Loudoun County Board of Supervisors: Scott.York@loudoun.gov, Chairman Shawn.Williams@loudoun.gov, Vice Chairman Suzanne.Volpe@loudoun.gov, Supervisor Ralph.Buona@loudoun.gov, Supervisor Janet.Clarke@loudoun.gov, Supervisor Geary.Higgins@loudoun.gov, Supervisor Matt.Letourneau@loudoun.gov, Supervisor Ken.Reid@loudoun.gov, Supervisor Eugene.Delgaudio@loudoun.gov, Supervisor Please send an email from each adult in your home. We need a large number of emails to send a clear message. Use this for the Subject: RECONSIDER: Reject Eminent Domain and Red Hill Water Tower We have attached a template for the message. Please copy and paste any or all of the paragraphs or add your own text. 2 - Please call the Board of Supervisors office to request a Reconsideration vote for the Red Hill Water Tower. Phone: 703-777-0204 3 - Please ask your friends and neighbors to help send emails and call the Board of Supervisors. Ask friends in other districts to join us in our efforts to request a Reconsideration Vote. This is our last chance. The request for Reconsideration must come from one of the 5 Supervisors who voted to approve the 189' water tower. We are targeting Scott York since he flipped his earlier position and presented a last minute deal he had worked out with Loudoun Water, but all of them need to hear our messages. PLEASE HELP!!!! Thank you for your continued support! Ashley Ziviello and Rae Anderson Haselden on behalf of No Red Hill Water Towers Coalition noredhillwatertowers@gmail.com noredhillwatertowers.org
