For over 20 years residents have enjoyed use of Beaver Dam Reservoir from canoeing, fishing, hiking, photography, biking, and rowing. Mark Peterson of Loudoun Water Authority has issued an immediate closure of Beaver Dam to all these activities including a special group that volunteers its clean up efforts  (Clean Up Beaver Dam). However, Loudoun Rowing Club has been granted special permission to use this body of water for unknown reasons while all others are banned from from its use. We oppose this type of descrimination and request Loudoun Water Authority lift its ban and come up with a plan that enables the public to enjoy this lake and land while they work on dam upgrades.
