Petition updateProtect Philly's Pop-Up Beer GardensOver 1300 people spoke up to save the pop-ups on the first day

Ok, this is awesome. In just one day, our petition to protect Philly's pop-up beer gardens from out-of-touch state lawmakers got over 1300 signatures. We got another 100 supporters this morning, but we're not done yet. The goal is 10,000 for a reason. There were two Democrats and two Republicans on the letter to LCB that started it all, so the stupidity is bipartisan. Luckily, both of those Democrats were in Pittsburgh, so no Philly Democrats have defected yet, and we need to keep it that way. We have to scare away all the Philly Democrats from Taylor and McIlhinney, and the way to do that is with people and money. So if you want to help out more, here are two things you can do right now: 1. Share this petition on Facebook, Twitter, and via email with any Philly friends who like politics, beer, or enjoying the city in the summer, aka everybody. 2. Help us buy a Facebook ad for this petition. We were already going to host a Young Progressive Philly happy hour on August 5, and now we've moved it to the PHS pop up garden on South Street. The larger space means there are now 50 more tickets available. Tickets are free, but if you want to help us buy a Facebook ad, throw in a $5-10 donation when you get to suggest a ticket price. The ads are $20 a day, and we want to run it through the end of the month, so we need to raise $200. http://phldpc.ticketleap.com/young-progressive-philly-happy-hour/ Thanks for your support! PDPC
