Dawn Johnson is a newly elected NH State Representative from Laconia. She  posted an anti-Semitic, racist meme that emanated from a Neo-Nazi website.  

Dawn Johnson is also a member of the Laconia School Board, which after a public Zoom meeting with over 300 attendees, made the decision to strip Ms. Johnson of her seat on board committees.  We applaud this decision.

James Spillane of Deerfield also posted anti-semitic material on social media along with racist messaging. The NH Department of Justice is currently investigating Rep. Spillane for these actions.  

The NH Democratic Caucus called out Dawn Johnson and James Spillane for their actions. We are ten NH Jewish State Legislators who are calling on Dawn Johnson and James Spillane to resign their seats from the NH House of Representatives immediately. We ask Republican leaders Governor Chris Sununu, Acting House Speaker  Sherman Packard, House Majority Leader Jason Osbourne, and NHGOP Chair Stephen Stepanek to take a stand against anti-semitism and hate and to join us in calling for Johnson and Spillane to step down.
