No further land development approvals in Baldivis

No further land development approvals in Baldivis
The issue
We strongly appose the further development of any land in the Baldivis area while there is in excess of 500 properties on the market, and over 1000 blocks of land available, there is clearly no requirement for further development.
The average property price in Baldivis has dropped by $70,000 since 2015. As with most of Perth this has been due to the poor economic state of the country & WA however we strongly feel this is also a direct result of excessive land development.
In order to restore our housing prices we need to have less available land.
Furthermore, the size of the proposed lots is encouraging high density living which in other area's has proven to have a negative impact on the community and overall suburb demographic.
Many residents have negative equity in their properties and our investor market have properties running at extreme losses.
Please consider your ratepayers and the Baldivis community and put an indefinite hold on the development and release of any additional land.
