Dr. Alie Kabba, a United States citizen visiting Sierra Leone, has been arrested by the Government of Sierra Leone one day after he gave an interview with the local Radio Democracy 98FM during which he criticized the government for corruption and nepotism.

This morning Dr. Kabba was arrested and is currently being held without bail. Please impress on the Government of Sierra Leone to uphold the rule of law and desist from harassing and intimidating political opponents.
