I'm looking for others that have fell victim to city code enforcement. A few months back, my 2-month-old and I were woken up by lights flashing in our faces. When I looked out my window, there were all kinds of men in my yard taking stuff off my property. I called my husband and he came right home. We asked what they were doing and I was handed a court order to clean the property, yet we had gotten no violations and the court order had a different address. Still, they took our stuff and put it in a dumpster while we were forced to stay inside our home by the work crew officer. He charged at me pointing and yelling all because I told them we never got any violations. He came so close I could smell his tushy breath on my face. He then told us if we didn't go inside our house we would go to jail. He then stood with his body pushed against our door keeping us from coming back outside While they took vehicles that were not tagged with a violation. While they ripped our fence off of our garage and came into our back yard. After being told they had the wrong address. They still continued to take our stuff. We asked to see the papers served and were told by chef code enforcer Jason Konazeski "I will pull them out of my a** if I have to." Once they had legal vehicles and everything removed the dumpster full of our stuff sat in the middle of road for days. The following Monday my husband our nephew and myself went into the city building to get copies of said violations for our address. And my husband also asked how they could take a vehicle that was plated and running and never tagged from the city and Jason Konazeski again stating telling told us nope your done and refused to give us copies or answers. He also went back afterwards and changed the court order. We have video,audio and documentation proving everything mentioned above. We know there are others like us that have been bullied by city officials. 

This is not an isolated incident; many residents of Marion have experienced similar abuses of power by code enforcement officers who lie on documents and unlawfully take or destroy people's property without proper notice or due process. This blatant disregard for citizens' rights must stop.

We need to hold the city accountable for these actions through a class action lawsuit to ensure that no one else suffers from such unjust treatment.
