Stand with Sheba Medical Center

The Issue

Sheba Medical Center, ranked among the top ten hospitals in the world by Newsweek, treats over two million patients annually — including Palestinians and patients from across the Middle East who cross borders specifically to receive care there. Its Boston ARC Innovation Center is not a political statement; it is a biomedical partnership designed to connect Israeli healthcare startups with Boston's world-class medical expertise, with the goal of developing treatments and technologies that save lives everywhere.

A coalition of activist groups operating under the name "Sheba Out of MA" is working to pressure Massachusetts officials to block Sheba's Boston presence, framing a hospital incubator as an instrument of harm. This campaign asks us to believe that preventing Israeli medical innovation from reaching American partners is a humanitarian act. We believe the opposite is true.

Targeting a hospital — one that opens its doors to patients regardless of nationality, religion, or ethnicity — because of the nationality of its founders is antisemitism in practice, whatever its stated motivations. Blocking life-saving biomedical collaboration harms patients, not governments.

We call on supporters of Israeli innovation, medical progress, and the free exchange of scientific knowledge to sign this petition and send a clear message: Massachusetts is a place where healing and discovery are welcome, and where campaigns to exclude institutions on the basis of national origin will not go unanswered.
