Stand With Military Veterans Protesting ICE

The Issue

Military veterans across the US have taken to the streets to protest ICE’s aggressive immigration enforcement operations.

These veterans are not protesting because they oppose border security. Many of them served in combat zones overseas. They are protesting because they believe the current tactics — heavily armed operations in civilian neighborhoods, masked agents, large-scale sweeps, and aggressive crowd control — undermine constitutional norms and erode public trust.

Some veterans say the operations resemble military-style deployments they witnessed abroad. Others argue that redirecting federal resources toward mass deportation quotas while communities experience fear and disruption is not consistent with American values.

The Department of Homeland Security defends its actions as lawful and necessary. But when veterans who swore to defend the Constitution raise alarm, the country should listen.

This petition calls to stand with military veterans to demand:

  • A pause and independent review of ICE operations in domestic communities;
  • Clear limits on militarized tactics in civilian neighborhoods;
    Transparency in use-of-force incidents and public reporting;
  • Congressional hearings on the impact of mass enforcement operations on constitutional rights.

Immigration enforcement must be lawful. But it must also be proportionate, transparent, and accountable.

When veterans say something feels wrong, it is not partisan — it is a warning.

We stand with those calling for constitutional guardrails and responsible immigration policy.

Reform ICE operations. Protect civil liberties. Restore public trust.
