Stand up against the brutal regime in Iran
The Issue
Urgent Petition to Donald Trump, the president of America
Dear Mr. President,
We urgently call on you to act to stop the ongoing killing of peaceful and unarmed protesters in Iran by the Islamic Republic.
The Iranian people are facing brutal repression by a theocratic regime that answers demands for freedom and democracy with bullets, mass arrests, torture, and executions. Men, women, and children are being killed for exercising their basic human rights.
The regime has deliberately shut down the internet, mobile networks, and electricity to silence witnesses, hide crimes, and carry out massacres in darkness.
Mr. President, you publicly warned the Iranian regime that continued killing of peaceful protesters would not be tolerated and would bring a forceful response. That warning gave hope to millions of Iranians. Today, it is more urgent than ever.
Every second of delay costs innocent lives. This crisis demands immediate action.
We urgently call on you to:
Reaffirm publicly that the killing of peaceful protesters will not be tolerated
Take immediate diplomatic, political, and economic action to halt the violence
Support the restoration of internet and communication access in Iran
Hold Islamic Republic leaders accountable for crimes against humanity
Stand decisively with the Iranian people in their struggle for freedom
The people of Iran are not asking for violence—they are asking to live.
Respectfully,
Mahshid Rahimian
