Stand for Justice: End Early Release for Murderers
This petition is not just about PC Andrew Harper. It is about every victim of murder, every grieving family, every emergency worker, and every member of the public who deserves to know that justice means what it says.
The Government is considering the early release of the men convicted over the killing of PC Andrew Harper. That has rightly caused widespread concern. But this issue goes far beyond one case. No person convicted of murder should be released early simply because of prison capacity or administrative pressures.

Victims never receive an early return. Families never receive an early reunion. Yet those convicted of taking a life can, in some cases, leave prison before serving the full sentence imposed by the courts. That is profoundly difficult for many people to accept.

The families of those convicted can still visit and see their loved ones in prison. Families of murder victims can never do the same. Their loss is permanent.

Justice must place victims before offenders. It must protect the public, uphold confidence in the justice system, and recognise the gravity of the most serious crime. A sentence for murder should mean exactly what the court intended—not be reduced because of pressures elsewhere in the prison system.

This is also about the men and women who put themselves in harm's way every day to protect us: police officers, firefighters, paramedics, prison officers, and all emergency service personnel. They deserve to know that, if the worst happens, the justice system will respond with certainty and resolve.

We are asking for your support—not only for PC Andrew Harper and his family, but for every victim of murder and every family left behind.

Every signature sends a clear message that murderers should serve the full sentence imposed by the courts and should not be released early because of prison overcrowding or poor management.
This campaign has received support from Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP, who has undertaken to place the petition before the Justice Secretary.

Together we can call for a justice system that puts victims first, protects the public, and ensures that the gravest crimes receive the gravest consequences.

Justice delayed is painful. Justice reduced is unacceptable. Full sentences should mean full sentences.
