This coming Saturday (23/11) is the last Stand Against Live Animal Export Protest/Awareness Day for 2024. 11:30 - 1:30 Town Hall, Sydney

This year has been a rollercoaster of emotions, there was the thought that Anthony Albanese would renege on his election promise and not announce the Live Sheep Export ban date. The wait for this announcement was excruciating, finally on July 1st, Anthony Albanese made good on his promise and announced the Live Sheep Export trade would end on the 1st of May 2028. While this news was widely welcomed, it was heartbreaking to hear we to wait until 2028.

Stand Against Live Animal Export and supporters were suppose to protest at NSW Parliament House but due to a mix up, it didn’t go ahead, this was extremely disappointing.

Then the Canberra Bus Trip & Protest had to be cancelled due to cost and the fact parliament only happens on weekdays. This made it difficult for supporters who work to commit.
But Stand Against Live Animal Export held the Perth Parliament House protest which saw a lot of people attend. Mia, Anna-Lisa & Baco did a brilliant job and even made it on the WA news, I could not do it without these 3 people. Thank you.
I have big plans for 2024, I am going to Canberra Parliament House on a date to be decided, I have volumes of signatures to be delivered along with hundreds of paper petitions. I’m pushing to get a meeting with a particular MP but they’re hard to get a meeting with.
I’m urging everyone to please check the website, it is not quite finished but Thanks To Scott Banks for creating it. That will be where all of my content will be from now on, this petition will be 98% about Live Animal Export, not about Protest/Awareness Days etc. I can no longer contact people via change, so it HAS to be ALL through
