40 Live Cattle Export shipments have departed from Townsville already this year and that is ONLY from Townsville. Reports from Fremantle are the Live Sheep Exports ships for the sheep are more or less as 1 leaves, another arrives, that one leaves and another arrives.
Anyone who knows anything about Live Animal Export knows these animals will already have experienced torture but it is nothing compared to what they will encounter once they leave Australia.
We have heard the commotion from Live Exporters/Farmers and anyone who stands to make a buck from this horrific trade that conditions have improved, but we know it doesn’t matter how much you improve the conditions, it will never be without trauma and torture for the animals. Pregnant Ewes, Sheep with broken limbs, cattle with broken horns, broken legs, deep cuts and then there is disease.
We know that if Liberal get back in the Live Sheep Export trade ban could be overturned so instead of waiting until pre election, we need to be targeting both parties to let them know our preferences and votes will not align with any party who thinks Live Animal Export is regulated enough to allow the trade to continue. PLEASE state that you want ALL Live Animal Export to end.
I will do up a template and get Scottee to pop it on the new website, you will just need to address it to whichever politician you’re sending it to, even better if you’re emailing or posting it to a number of politicians. I have been a bit absent lately, I have been doing other things with Live Animal Export BUT I have not and will not give up. I hope I can count on every supporter on here to also stay with me so we can one day celebrate the end of all Live Animal Export.

Saturday 23rd of November is the last Sydney Protest/Awareness Day for 2024. At this point in time we will meet at Town Hall at 11:30 then march to Hyde Park around 1:15.
