The Labor government have had plenty of time to make good on their phase out of Live Sheep Export promise, they’re stalling.

To make such a promise and then state it won’t happen until AFTER the next election, we were conned! 
This government needs to know we will turn our backs on them if they don’t honour this promise.

Already Australia is suffering BUT the animals have had no reprieve- TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE Anthony Albanese… So please try and make the effort - if you can take a photo outside your MP’s office and I will make a collage from the pics to send to Anthony Albanese.

As a member of your electorate, I request that you advocate on my behalf. Anthony Albanese must honour his pre election promise to Reduce The Abuse and End Live Sheep Exports.

The Labor government have undoubtedly let voters down. I voted Labor on the promise of the Live Sheep Export trade ending, we were led to believe this trade would end once Labor got into power.

Now Anthony Albanese has stated the Live Sheep Export trade won’t be phased out until “next” term of government, but there is no guarantee Labor will retain power after this term. 

The Live Sheep Export trade must end before the 2025 federal election. The Live Animal Export trade is full of abuse, trauma and torture. No animal should leave this country for offshore slaughter, Australia prides itself on having some of the best animal welfare regulations globally, yet we ship live animals to countries who have minimal or zero welfare laws, this is absurd.

Australia would benefit by having state of the art abattoirs. When an abattoir closes it impacts more than just the kill floor workers, the rural areas are hit hard when an abattoir closes, it impacts every other business in the area.

With a state of the art abattoir, the animal can be slaughtered, snap chilled immediately and airfreighted within 12-14 hours.

So as my federal MP I urge you to alert Anthony Albanese and Murray Watt regarding this issue, I cannot express how urgent this issue is. The panel will deliver their phase out report by September 30th however if the Live Sheep Export trade is not phased out by pre election, Labor will not have my vote, this I guarantee.
