We have been given the go ahead to do a Protest March from Channel 7 studio, Martin Place down to Town Hall on July 22nd. This is great news because at the same time the Women’s World Soccer is holding a big day in a section of Martin Place and Stand Against Live Animal Exports people will march right past it, that will be terrific exposure. We will definitely be respectful but there will hundreds of people there so they will see our banners, hear our chants and our bright orange Tees and clothing will stand out.
We’ve also got the permit to hold the Awareness Day at Town Hall when the march end at Town Hall, that starts at 11:30 and ends at 1:30…
It should be great as there will be heaps of people in the city that day.
PLEASE if you’re planning on marching I need you to let me know. I plan to buy some Orange Hi Vis vests for people to wear when they march, I don’t expect everyone to be able to afford to buy a T shirt, I will have the Hi Vis available so everyone has something Orange on.
Anyone wanting to march, you will need to be at Martin Place no later than 11:10 we have to leave there at 11:15 to be at Town Hall by 11:30.
Perth - Anna-Lisa and I are desperately trying to get an Awareness Day happening in Perth also. We are trying to find out if we can do a march from Elizabeth Quay to Murray St Mall but it’s seems Perth have just changed their rules pertaining to Rallies, Marches and Events. Once we know we will let everyone know on here when and where it is.
Live Animal Export is still in full swing from Australia. Although the Live Sheep Exports have finished for the summer ban, cattle are leaving from Townsville and Fremantle regularly. I know I don’t have to explain that all animals suffer on these ships, not just sheep. I saw another video last night of sheep being slaughtered in Vietnam, I cried like I’d just lost a much loved family member, my heart broke for those animals.
If you’re on facebook please follow Anthony Albanese, Murray Watt, Warren Snowden and every time you share something about Live Animal Export, tag these people, it not only shows them the post, it shows other people who follow them too.
I apologise if I don’t get to reply to everyone’s comments I try to and answer every email but I’m working 6 days straight for the next few weeks.
