You and I know that Orange Ribbons mean Stand Against Live Animal Exports, but so many people have no idea that animals are sent on ships from Australia to a horrendous death - (Live Animal Exports).
I kid you not, there are far more people who’ve never even heard of Live Animal Exports than people who have. So while Orange Ribbons are great, it’s still up to us to ensure that people know what these Orange Ribbons stand for. So I’ve been making little laminated tags attached to Orange Ribbons. - if you have anyway of making some that would be great. If anyone buys anything in future, I will pop one in with their purchase.
So the Awareness Days are doing better than I thought, I usually go off the number of flyers, stickers etc I pack and what is left, however Melbourne made that a bit difficult, what I have noticed though is the people who have joint the Stop The Death Ships Facebook page and the number of people who have signed the petition - I am stunned.
But we cannot become complacent, NOW is more important than ever. NSW has a state election on September 4th and a federal election will happen late this year or early 2022. We need to start emailing our MPs, especially our local MPs, also our state MPs, David Littleproud and Morrison.
