Same sex marriage was passed in Pennslyvania in May 2014 and yet numerous forms have yet to be updated. Marriage licenses in many counties continue to list bride and groom rather than applicants. Just this month we received our birth certificate for our adopted son and my husband is listed as mother and we have already ran into some issues because of it. We understand change is slow but our government needs to be held accountable in meeting the needs of the people it serve with dignity and respect. We urge you to contact your own legislators and encourage them to to support our cause and require our state government to get caught up with the times.
