Here at St Damians RC Science College, there are uniform policies that restrict girls from wearing trousers, forcing them to wear skirts. Many girls feel uncomfortable by this decision, as many are often sanctioned for having a short skirt. Their argument is that they require 'a high standard of dress' for school and also reason that it is  'sexual assault' to present themselves with a short skirt to other people.

Many girls have requested to wear trousers as they feel uncomfortable wearing skirts. The school simply does not allow this, making no exceptions for any students. Parents who complained simply got told to "send their kids to another school" by the headteacher, Sheldon Logue 

In 21st century Britain, this rule should not exist. St Damians, a heavily decorated school praised by organisations such as Ofsted, refuses to remove a sexist rule in which girls are forced to adheed
