Lumen Christi Catholic Multi Academy have taken a private, behind closed doors, decision to make changes to school dates for the Christmas holidays 2016. While parents support the need to recognise and support the period of advent the impact that this change will have for parents is unimaginable. What if you have children in other schools who are following Birmingham City Councils school holiday schedule? What if you have no option but to return to work when industry and business restart after the Christmas and new year break? What holiday clubs or childcare provision will be open for working parents? Parents have not been consulted and actually found out through social media before being officially informed by the schools in the consortium. We demand our voice be heard and an overturn of the decision by the Directors.
