To address the pressing issues at St Albans City FC

The Issue

This petition has been set up today in response to today's (19/02/2015) article in the Herts Advertiser;

http://www.hertsad.co.uk/news/last_prayers_for_st_albans_saints_1_3961387 ,with the main aim of reaching resolution over the ongoing situation at St Albans City FC regarding stadium redevelopment at the clubs current site of Clarence Park, or finding a new site for the club to be based.

We respectfully call on Cllr Julian Daly as constituents and residents of the great city of St. Albans, to comment on whether there is possiblity that Clarence Park can ever be built on or developed, and what the council is doing to help the football club to move forward and to move away from Clarence Park.

The football club has been a part of the community in the city since 1908, and includes people who have been attending for 50 years and beyond. The football club has always tried to be as involved as possible in the wider community as possible, but there has been a concerted effort from the current ownership to reach out to local schools and local businesses and the link between these two has never stronger.

We ask that the council work with the football to build a stadium with facilities more fitting of the high standards of City that we live in and that we can all be proud of.

We feel that this situation has dragged on for too long unresolved, and I'm sure no-one including yourselves wants a future where there is no football club in the city to support, which is a real possibility if this is not addressed.

I ask anyone who is a resident or a supporter of the club to please sign below.

Thank you for your time.
