Square Enix Give Us The Crisis Core/Advent Children Buster Sword as DLC For the Remake

The Issue

In Final Fantasy media, there is no other weapon that has become more iconic and ubiquitous than the Buster Sword. The design of the weapon, however, has never had a truly set-in-stone design, leading it to have various different appearances throughout the franchise. The weapon has changed its design about as many times as Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber in the Star Wars franchise. One design that has appeared prominently throughout the universe of Final Fantasy VII is the design from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. The design itself is more of an elegant one, with a golden hand-guard, wrapped red leather grip, capped pommel, and a dark segmented blade that appears on the remake version of Buster Sword. In Crisis Core, the weapon was built by a smith only after Angeal Hewley's family borrowed enough money to have the sword built, and his father worked so hard to repay the debt that he died. Later in the game, the sword is passed down to Zack Fair, who wants to uphold his mentor's honor and dreams. In the end, after Zack passed away, this weapon is passed down to Cloud who uses it to liberate the world from Shinra and kill Sephiroth to save the planet. Buster Sword became far more than Cloud's beginning weapon, much like how Anakin's lightsaber became far more than the lightsaber Luke Skywalker received from Obi-Wan. The Buster Sword tells a story that extends beyond just Cloud, and it's elegant design should be immortalized by being in the remake. Even if it comes as a DLC, I would happily purchase said DLC to bring back that beautiful design that appeared in an amazing film, and a phenomenal game on the PlayStation Portable.
