Spouse of workplace harassment victim whimsically terminated in AIIMS Guwahati

The Issue

My husband, a gold medallist, scholar and benevolent academician, has been unjustly terminated from his faculty position at AIIMS Guwahati. This untimely dismissal is not just a personal attack on him, but a dire consequence of my bravery in standing against workplace harassment and procedural violations by the  Authorities. He has an impeccable service record and has worked hard to set up neonatology services in this institute. This is a barbaric and desperate retaliation to sabotage our legal fight  particularly my workplace harassment case. Since they could not target me due to court ordered protection, they have targetted an innocent.  Safety of women in india remains a distant dream till such people are in power.

I bring forward this plea, not only for my husband but for those numerous silent voices who have faced and are facing the unjust tremors of oppression and bullying at their workplaces.

Our plea echoes in the halls of educational institutions across the nation, speaking volumes of the dire need for an unbiased, transparent, and just system. Our fight is against the wrongful termination of a distinguished faculty member; a termination that is a stark attack on someone who dedicated his life to academics and nurturing future medical professionals.

This is not an isolated incident. In fact, it is a stark reflection of a larger issue - that of unaccounted power and lack of channels to address grievances within our esteemed institutions. Reports suggest that workplace harassment in India has increased by 14% in recent years (source: National Crime Records Bureau).

We roll this petition to AIIMS Guwahati and the Ministry of Health and Family welfare, urging them to investigate this matter impartially, to rectify the violation of rights, and to initiate strict actions against those guilty. Believe in justice, believe in transparency. It's about time that our voices are heard and our concerns addressed.

Sign this petition to seek justice for the wrongfully terminated and to ensure a safe, respectful working environment in educational institutions. Stand with us, stand for justice.
