I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving by gathering with your family and friends during the Thanksgiving holiday. The vaccines and boosters made it happen, just need more people vaccinated. It is nice to have Special Olympics again like swimming. I know the swimming will be back in Bowling Green in March, along with basketball and cheerleading competitions for the State Indoor Winter Games at BGSU. I have been keeping in touch with Jeff Vermillion at Special Olympics Ohio about the swimming and the reinstatement of regional bowling tournaments instead of League Play. Jeff will be retiring next year and will give my ideas to the new person when they start. I will keep pushing to return the State Swim Meet back to it's true home in Columbus at The Ohio State University McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion and get rid of the Maximum Effort rule that got 72 swimmers disqualified for swimming too fast. Looking forward to Bowling Green again, but have to get through the regional qualifier first. I know SOOH and BGSU have a contract, but with more people will get Special Olympics Ohio to change the venue back to Columbus. I apologize for not get back with you sooner.
