Returning the State Swim Meet for Special Olympics Ohio back to Columbus, Ohio
Returning the State Swim Meet for Special Olympics Ohio back to Columbus, Ohio

I was surprised that State Swim Meet for Special Olympics Ohio decided to move it from the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on The Ohio State University campus to Bowling Green State University at Cooper Pool and adding a basketball tournament and cheerleading competition there too at the State Winter Games Indoor Sports.
The State Swim Meet needs to be returned to Columbus, Ohio at the McCorkle because of its centralized location. They could have the swim meet in late March or early April (not to conflict with Passover, and Easter) or back to early December, not to conflict with basketball and other sports. They have other fun events at their other pools at Ohio State's RPAC facility. The State Swim Meet has always been in Columbus for over 50 years from Larkins Hall to the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
People who live in the southern part of the state of Ohio will have a long 4-5 hour drive to BGSU for the Winter Games Indoor Sports, Special Olympics Ohio did not consider that and winter road conditions. It was the wrong decision that Special Olympics Ohio made.
Also, they should return the Long Course (50 meter) swimming event back to the State Summer Games program for Special Olympics Ohio in late June, going back to the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
I am asking Special Olympics Ohio to move the State Swim Meet back to its true home in Columbus at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion at The Ohio State University and make it easy for people to travel in the state of Ohio. Thank you.
