Hundreds of schoolchildren who take the early train to school from Clapham Junction, Wandsworth Common and Balham (dep 7.33am) now have to change trains at East Croydon, resulting in a 10-minute wait for them on the platform, and potential dangerous overcrowding of the platforms there. If they miss their connection due to late running they now risk being late for school. This direct train was cancelled with no warning, and no consultation. We are asking Southern Rail to reinstate this train.
