Обновление к петицииSouth Korea, Torturer of Dogs and Host of the 2017 World Veterinary Congress?! Speak Out!You have topped 17,000 Signatures! And 70 Vet Speakers Contacted!
Stop the Dog and Cat Meat Trade Worldwide
18 июл. 2017 г.
Quick update on this petition, which has now exceeded 17,000 signatures! I have contacted by email the 70 plus veterinary professionals scheduled to speak at the 2017 WVA Congress in South Korea next month, with the vet contact details rigorously researched by my team member, Marie Olsson. So far, a positive response has been received from Professor of OneWelfare, Natalie Waran, who is aware the horrific Dog Meat Trade in South Korea and worldwide. I thank Dr. Waran for her responsiveness and support. Hopefully more vet speakers will soon come forward to take a stand against the mass-scale torture and abuse of our best friends - dogs and cats - for meat, fur, 'faux-fur', leather, 'faux-leather' and other by products. Professor Waran is scheduled to present at the Global Seminar on Animal Welfare (part of the Congress agenda) so I asked her to please speak out against the Dog and Cat Meat Trade during her speech and to spread awareness to the other conference attendees throughout the event. Next, I will be sending a follow up email (and Facebook message, where possible) to each vet speaker to encourage them once more, if they must attend the conference, to be informed and vocal about The Trade! Nobody should be quiet about this, especially veterinary professionals! Thank you to all who have signed, shared and promoted this petition. What do you think? Can we boost the number of signers/supporters to 20,000 by August 1st? I think it would make a strong impression on the WVA to receive 20,000 protest signatures, right at the beginning August, the month of the conference! Please keep sharing and promoting this petition. The more eyes on it, the better for our best friends trapped in the hell of the Dog and Cat Meat Trade. I also encourage you to support the work of Nami Kim, founder of Save Korean Dogs. You can read more about her organization here: http://savekoreandogs.org/about/. Kind Regards, Jenny Wilkins
