Currently, the Great State of South Carolina does not regulate puppy mills or any pet production farms. The welfare of the animals involved is first and foremost the reason for this request.

We are asking for annual inspections and a modest annual registration fee. 

While this shouldn’t be an income producer for the state it should cover all cost involved in inspections and administrative overhead. 
We also ask that a strong penalty apply to those that don’t comply, starting with different levels of fines based a on number of animals involved and non-compliance.
