Make Permanent Cosmetics legal in the state of South Carolina
The Issue
Currently permanent cosmetics are not considered by this law because it’s a new technique:
SECTION 44-34-100
“It is unlawful for a tattoo artist to tattoo any part of the head, face, or neck of another person.”
What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup (or cosmetic tattooing) uses a tattoo gun to create a semi-permanent effect for lips, brows, eyeliner, stretch marks, hairlines, and much more. Permanent cosmetics with the most suitable ink and technique is supposed to last 2-5 years.
Micro blading is legal in the state of South Carolina however it creates scarring and changes color over time.. Permanent Cosmetics is a game changer for the beauty industry. I want law makers to consider this change because I’ve been living in South Carolina for 10+ years.. I don’t want to move to another state nearby to provide my services!
