South Carolina First Responders are members of the South Carolina PORS retirement system, which is one of the worst in the United States.  These men and women are forced to contribute 9.75% of their pay into this retirement system which currently pays out an average of $20,000 per year to a retiree.  The retiree then must pay South Carolina Income Tax on the $20,000. 

These men and women risked their lives for 25+ years and deserve not to have their pensions, which are already deficient, taxed. 

Please vote to exempt PORS retiree's pensions from South Carolina Income Tax!
