On Monday, October 26th Senior Deputy Ben Fields tossed a female student onto the classroom's floor. Ben Fields has since been fired due to his actions.

The incident, was captured on a student's cell phone. The video shows Fields asking a girl to rise from a classroom desk. The girl stays seated, so the officer wraps a forearm around the child's neck. The officer then tips the attached chair and desk backward until she spills to the floor. The officer then tosses the girl several feet across the floor to the front of the classroom.

Another student faces charges after allegedly standing up for her.

This incident must be something that students, teachers, and police can learn from. That will not happen if two students are facing criminal charges.

We the undersigned, petition the Attorney General of South Carolina to drop all charges against the students.
