We, the residents of South Annville Township, hereby express our strong opposition to the proposed Data Center Project in the parcel of land west of Mount Pleasant Road and south of Rt. 422.

Deep concern for our community is the impetus for our petition. The South Annville community epitomizes small-town charm, sustains an excellent school district, supports local businesses, and preserves local farmland and natural resources. It is imperative that we protect and defend the disappearing backbone of our nation: our communities. 

The proposed data center poses a threat to the essence of what South Annville Township embodies.  Our main concerns are centered on water resources, air and noise pollution, increase in electricity rates, decline in property values, and close proximity to residential areas including Annville Elementary School and Annville-Cleona Secondary School.

For all these reasons and more, we urge the South Annville Township Board of Supervisors to reject the petition of the developers. We respectfully insist that you safeguard the health and well-being of the residents of South Annville Township and promote sound stewardship of our township’s land and natural resources.
