To Our Local and National Government

We the, Youth of Durban, appeal to you for support for our petition to place our city in an immediate lockdown in our homes for at least 48 hours, with the assistance of Law Enforcement agencies and the SANDF policing our areas, to restore all order in our communities in Durban.

The unrest and lawlessness that has unfolded these past few days have caused us great danger and uncertainty. We are unable to leave our homes for work, if it still available, or to purchase essential items for ourselves and family. A complete lockdown in our city, for at least 48 hours, will restore all order in Durban, with the SANDF and Law Enforcement Agencies assisting on that part. 

We are concerned for our future and the future of our economy and appeal to you to please hear our plea in the form of this petition.
