Gender based violence (GBV) has plagued South Africa for far too long. 

The inadequate action and leadership from the South African government is abhorrent and shameful. President Cyril Ramaphosa promised the South African public that he would make the sexual offenders list public, prohibiting previous perpetrators from extending their harmful reach into the lives of women and children in our country. 

It has been a year since the President gave us false hope, and it is time we reclaim the fallacies and enforce what is right. 

We demand that sexual offenders list is made public, with all immediate speed, to protect those who have been - and are likely to be - victim to GBV.
