Discusses: the “Criminalization of Medical Negligence in South Africa” with specific reference to the Prof. Beale and the Late Dr Munshi’s criminal medical negligence case.

-NPA/Department of Justice/DOH/HPCSA have had a meeting early on when the doctors where arrested.
-It has reached the courts and the DOH has no jurisdiction.
-Agreement across the board that there needs to be proper guidelines with regards to the future of Medical Negligence and criminal prosecution.
