SoundCloud has decided they want to phase out groups. Groups are a vital and widely-used part of the SoundCloud social media platform. It gives independent artists the ability to meet new fans and collaborators based on genre. Removing this feature will hinder many independent artists' progress, and prompt them to find other places to share in  social media groups. Perhaps you can implement better control of the spamming if you tried something simple--like only allowing people to contribute tracks to groups marked with the same genre tags...or worst case scenario, you could always transform this feature into a revenue stream by making groups exclusively available to paying subscribers. We love our SoundCloud from the bottom of our hearts, and simply ask you keep this important feature where it is for new and established artists alike to benefit from.
