There are already 1.4 million homes approved so why are they asking councils to provide more sites?!
It's about time councils and residents stood up to developers, and Govt, and demanded those 1.4 million are built before even considering other sites let alone greenbelt.
We the undersigned demand the Govt STOP DEVELOPERS LAND GRAB AND GET THEM TO BUILD ON LAND ALREADY APPROVED BEFORE ANY MORE SITES ARE PUT FORWARD.
Pass a law to make it compulsory for developers to build on the 1.4 million sites or face hefty fines upto £5 million including imprisonment.
As of today's date 9th July 2026 no more sites should be approved until 90% of the current 1.4 million approvals have been built. 90% in every area, not pick and choose.
