Sororities Unite: Ditch SHEIN, Protect Our Health, Environment, and Ethics!

The Issue

To: All College Students, Sororities and Sorority Members

Are you ready to make a change? It's time to stand up and be the generation that says NO to unethical practices, environmental damage, and design theft! Together, we can send a powerful message to the world's largest fast fashion giant, SHEIN, that enough is enough!

We urge all students, sorority members, and national sororities to make a bold pledge: STOP shopping at SHEIN for all your clothing needs, especially during the high-demand times of rush and formals. Let's make a statement for these compelling reasons:

Take a Stand for Human Rights: SHEIN has faced allegations of human rights violations in their supply chain. By saying goodbye to SHEIN, we say YES to ethical sourcing and fair treatment of workers worldwide.
Protect Our Planet: Fast fashion brands, like SHEIN, are leading contributors to environmental degradation. Their environmental practices have been called out by many environmentalists as harmful to our planet, from excessive waste to pollution. It's time to choose brands that prioritize sustainability and eco-friendly practices.
Support Small Businesses: SHEIN has been sued by small designers for stealing their designs. By pledging against SHEIN, we champion creativity and protect the rights of independent designers.

Solution: Have Sustainable or Ethical Dress Codes for Social Events. Suggest thrifting, re-wearing, borrowing or even renting special occasion clothing. Clothing swaps with other sororities would be another solution for sustainability that would also ease pressure on a college student’s budget.

Join us in making a powerful statement. Let's pledge to end our support for SHEIN, making a commitment to ethical, sustainable, and responsible fashion choices. By doing so, we're not just changing our wardrobes; we're changing the world.

Sign this petition to be part of a movement that stands up for our health, environment, and ethics. Together, we can show SHEIN that we won't stand for unethical practices any longer!
