Xperi's USB Video Class plugin has proved to be a valued tool that goes where the PlayStation TV Whitelist hack and Adrenaline cannot. For any games that suffer compatibility issues or simply crash on the PSTV, the USB Video Class plugin allows you to stream those games over USB to a computer running OSB Studio, which you can then output over HDMI. For those who don't own a PSTV, a hacked Vita running this plugin would make a nice alternative.
But one downside with past versions of this plugin is that is didn't work for certain Vita apps. Specifically the Settings or Browser app. If you tried to access these apps whilst outputting video, the video output simply stalls until you exit the app in question. The only work around was to access the settings using the Vita's own screen to navigate. But now this is no longer an issue. The unfortunately named hacker, @u3shit, has created an update that will now allow the USB Video Class plugin to detect when the system has entered a video app and thus stream that app over USB. Now you can access the Settings and Browser on the big screen. If you've already installed a previous version of the plugin, all you need do is download Version 1.3 to your computer and replace the plugin on your system using VitaShell.
Let's hear it for Xperi and @u3shit. Now if only we can get a plugin update that will stream audio over USB too...
