Would you believe it? Sony discontinued the Vita earlier this year and now just under three months since TheFlow released his Trinity exploit chain for 3.70, Sony patches it up with a new firmware update. And TheFloW has confirmed through his Twitter account that firmware 3.71 disables Trinity. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Sony, make up your mind, is the Vita dead or isn't it?! If you have no plans to continue the system, why do you keep releases firmware updates?

On the plus side, we can only hope to see some new games from Sony released for the system. Then again, maybe not. Let's not kid ourselves. In more positive news, a hacker by the name of st4rk has tweeted that he's already got the new firmware hacked: https://twitter.com/St4rkDev/status/1153876778105987073?s=09

However it remains to be seen when or if st4rk will release his new hack for 3.71.

In any case, you know the drill by now. If you just want the PSTV Whitelist hack, psvimgtools has you covered for any firmware. However, if you want to use things like TheFloW's Adrenaline, the SD2Vita, and Xperi's USB streaming plugin - DO NOT UPDATE ABOVE 3.70. Yaddy-yaddy-yadda.
