U/Raunak_D6 and I want to make an appeal to Sony about this issue that has been part of the PlayStation experience for a long time. The issue regards games that you cannot 100% complete to gain a platinum trophy, due to some of the trophies require you to play online. This means that in order to achieve such trophies, you would have to buy PS+ and be forced to play multiplayer. In other words, the platinum trophy is locked behind a paywall and gamers who bought the game for the singleplayer experience, have no way of gaining the platinum trophy without paying more for multiplayer which they may not even enjoy, they only do it for the trophy.

Of course, multiplayer games like COD and Battlefield will always have multiplayer trophies and they are unarguably used appropriately in their games, so this petition does not mean that all multiplayers tropies should be removed. However, games that are mostly offline oriented like The Last of Us or Uncharted 4, multiplayer trophies should exist but in a parallel way where it doesn't affect the platinum trophy.

A small point to be made, is that online servers can, at any point, go offline. If that happens, then games that have a single player story mode and some online aspect don't have a way of achieving the platinum trophy anymore. This doesn't happen very often however, and it is a valid, yet not as important of an argument to be made here. It is still something to point out though.
