The Legend of Dragoon deserves a second life and Sandfall Interactive could be the perfect studio to bring it back.

Released in 1999/2000, The Legend of Dragoon became a beloved PlayStation RPG thanks to its memorable characters, cinematic story, unique Addition combat system, Dragoon transformations, and distinctive world.

More than two decades later, fans are still asking Sony for a proper revival.

We believe there is a particularly exciting opportunity now.

Sandfall Interactive, the studio behind Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has demonstrated that a passionate and talented team can create a modern RPG with a strong artistic identity, compelling characters, turn-based combat, and a distinctive visual style.

That makes them an incredibly interesting candidate for The Legend of Dragoon.

We are asking Sony Interactive Entertainment to seriously consider working with Sandfall Interactive on a full remake of The Legend of Dragoon.

This would not need to be a simple graphical upgrade. A remake could preserve what made the original special while taking advantage of modern technology:

Keep the original characters, world and story at the heart of the experience.
Modernize and expand the Addition combat system.
Make the Dragoon transformations spectacular with modern technology.
Reimagine the original environments while respecting their identity.
Give the characters modern animation, facial expressions and performances.
Re-orchestrate the legendary soundtrack while preserving its original spirit.
Use modern hardware to finally realize the game’s world at a scale that was impossible on the original PlayStation.
Most importantly, we are not asking Sony to abandon what made The Legend of Dragoon special.

We are asking Sony to give this unique RPG another chance — and to consider a collaboration with a studio that has already demonstrated a deep understanding of modern, character-driven RPGs.

Sony already owns The Legend of Dragoon. The question is simply whether the company is willing to give this legendary game another opportunity.
