Social Media Companies Serve up Missing Persons in Your Algorithms

The Issue

Every day 607 people go missing in the world. The first 24 hours are the most critical in finding a missing person. This is everyone's worst nightmare. It's so important that missing poster flyers and information get distributed broadly and rapidly.

I am asking the leaders of Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok to make the missing posts be served up to broader audiences through the algorithm. The same should be done for Amber Alerts.

Please consider this as it could make a huge difference for the family members of the missing. With your help you could change the way we address the missing and lost on social media.
